Sales Scrollytelling

Scrollytelling that sells complex products — not just looks pretty

Immersive websites that walk prospects through your technology, step by step. BFSG-compliant. Performance-optimized.

The problem

The Explanation Tax

15 minutes per sales call just to explain the basics. At three calls a day that's 45 minutes daily — at a €150 hourly rate, roughly €337 a day, for fundamentals alone.

That's your sales team's explanation tax. Your product pays it, because your website doesn't explain.

Your product is too complex for a 30-second pitch. Yet your website still tries to explain it in five seconds. That doesn't work.

How it works

Complexity, step by step

The visitor scrolls. With every step, they understand more.

  1. 01

    Intro

What your product does — simply, in one sentence.

  2. 02

    Animation

How it works — visual, built up as you scroll.

  3. 03

    Exploration

The user clicks into the details that matter to them.

  4. 04

    Case study

Real impact, measurable — not claimed.

  5. 05

    Pre-educated

They know your product better than any competitor's visitor.

Who it's for

Makes sense — or not

Makes sense if

  • B2B SaaS with a sales cycle over two weeks.
  • MedTech, FinTech, cybersecurity, AI infrastructure.
  • Deep-tech with a high cognitive load for visitors.
  • Your sales team explains the same thing in every demo call.

Not worth it if

  • B2C e-commerce.
  • Your product is explainable in 30 seconds.
  • Your sales cycle is under two weeks.

BFSG, performance & law

Accessibility is your advantage, not a burden

BFSG has been law since 2025 — and it's your head start. While competitors retrofit, your site is compliant from day 1.

  • Accessible sites convert better — better UX for every visitor.
  • Google favors accessible sites: SEO bonus included.
  • No litigation risk — fines up to €100,000 are possible.
  • LCP under 2.5 seconds. Lighthouse ≥ 90.

Every D-ova site is BFSG-compliant from day 1 — no add-on, no surcharge.

Frequently asked

What does a scrollytelling website cost?

It's built in two phases, and you control the scope. Phase 1 (concept) is significantly cheaper than Phase 2 (coding). A text explainer costs less than a 3D WebGL page. We give you a concrete range after your brief.

How long does it take?

Phase 1 (concept): 3–4 weeks. Phase 2 (coding & launch): 6–10 weeks. Total: roughly 3–4 months, depending on complexity.

Can I start with Phase 1 and commission Phase 2 later?

Absolutely — that's why there are two phases. Phase 1 delivers an approved concept without a large investment. You start Phase 2 once budget and concept are set.

Why not just an explainer video?

Video is passive — the user watches. Scrollytelling is interactive — they explore. Videos work on YouTube and LinkedIn. Scrollytelling works as a pre-sales asset before the first demo call.

Will the page rank in Google?

Yes. Semantic HTML, fast load time (LCP under 2.5s), Schema.org markup and internal links are built in. SEO isn't an add-on, it's standard.

What if our product isn't that complex?

Then you don't need scrollytelling. A simple explainer video or a standard landing page is enough. We'll tell you honestly in the first call.

Is BFSG compliance extra?

No. Accessibility is part of the standard architecture of every D-ova site. No add-on, no surcharge.
